A quick round up of the August events and other news.
Bush-craft Terrific Tuesday @Chiltern Open Air Museum
I had another fabulous 'meet the maker' day at Chiltern Open Air Museum @chilternoam earlier this month as part of their Bush-craft Terrific Tuesday event. I was visited by a steady stream of interested youngsters who learned the basics of macrame and made a cute spiral keyring to take home. Thank you @c.o.a.m_giftshop for the invitation, and hope to see you again next time.
If you are local and haven't yet visited the Chiltern Open Air Museum, I would recommend it. After all you don't go to many museums where the exhibits are houses!
Chalfont St Giles Show
The Chalfont St Giles Show is a well establish mainstay of the summer calendar in Bucks. It has a long history as an agricultural show and they really know how to lay on a fun packed day. I had my usual stall selling macrame, kits and promoting classes, but it didn't feel like a market day at all, it felt more like I had come to enjoy the show. I could see the main arena, the atmosphere was fantastic and the weather was spectacular. I do hope to be back next year.
New Workshop Venue
I mentioned last month that I was hoping to host some macrame classes at the gorgeous Front Room Coffee Lounge in High Wycombe, well we are all set up now and so in September and October I have 4 workshops, 2 at my usual Black Swans Studio Venue and now 2 in The Front Room. See the courses page for details.
New Design: The Spinning Star
I have a new design just released this month; the 'Spinning Star' table centrepiece. I love designing and making these round centrepieces. They are great fun and sometimes a bit of a geometry challenge. But now I have done the hard work you can enjoy making this piece from my super easy to understand guide. Check out the shop for details.
